CONDITIONS OF SHOW


1. Subject to 6 below, entries for all classes will be accepted on the day of the show, but entries received later than Wednesday 7th May will be charged at £2 extra per class. Transfers between classes on the day of the class will be charged at £2 per class unless the horse has upgraded.

2. Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to the showground.

3. The organisers accept no responsibility for accidents, theft of loss whatsoever arising out of the show.

4. No entry will be accepted without the correct entry fee.

5. Refund of entry fee.
Cancellation must be made in accordance with BSJA Rule 79.4

6. The organisers reserve the right to restrict the number of entries to 50 in each class.

7. In unsponsored classes, in the event of under 21 starters, lower prizes maybe withheld as in accordance with BSJA Rule 76.6.

8. Depending on the progress of the show, the organisers reserve the right to relocate classes between rings. 

9. No member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessee, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not put at risk of injury.

10. All horsebox generators are to be switched off not later than 11.30pm. 

Non Members of the BSJA and horses not currently registered with the BSJA may compete in all affiliated classes under the ‘Ticket to Ride’ system

(Additional fee £6.00 per class) but will not be eligible for Prize Money.

THE DORSET SHOWGROUND 1.05m AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Qualifying competitions will be held at all Dorset Showground Shows and will be held at other shows in the area. For registered horses, riders not in the top 350 on riders ranking list 308. The first eight horses will qualify in each competition, disregarding those already qualified, for the final at Dorset Showground in August. Horses must jump clear in the first round. First prize in the final £125 plus a rug, owners prize, with a prize fund of £375. Special qualifying rosettes will be awarded.

THE DORSET SHOWGROUND 1.15m OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
Qualifying competitions will be held at all Dorset Showground Shows and will be held at other shows in the area. The first eight horses will qualify in each competition disregarding those already qualified, for the final at Dorset Showground in August. Open to all registered horses. Horses must jump clear in the first round. 
First prize in the final £150 and challenge trophy plus owners prize, with a prize fund of £450. Special qualifying rosettes will be awarded.

THE DORSET SHOWGROUND/GROVELY SPORTS HORSE YOUNG HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP
Qualifying competitions will be held at Dorset Showground Shows and will be held at other shows in the area. Open to 5 & 6 year old registered horses. Height of jumps:
5 year old – 1.05m. 6 year old - 1.10m The first eight horses will qualify in each competition disregarding those already qualified for the final at Dorset Showground in August. Horses must jump clear in the first round. First prize in the final £125 (prize fund of £375) plus rug & owners prize, Special qualifying rosettes will be awarded. HALF PRICE TEMPORARY STABLING FOR QUALIFIED HORSES DURING THE AUGUST SHOW

DORSET SHOWGROUND 1.25M /1.30M CLASSIC
All 1.25m, 1.30m & above classes held at Dorset Showground during 2008 will be qualifying competitions for the Classic Final. The first eight horses will qualify in each competition for the final at Dorset Showground during the August show. Open to registered horses. Horses must jump clear in the first round. Height of 1st round in final 1.25m. 1st prize in the final: £200 (with a prize fund £600) & owners prize. Prize for highest placed Region “J” Rider. 


MINOR UNAFFILIATED JUMPING CLASSES OPEN TO HORSE & PONIES 

Rosettes awarded for all Double Clear rounds in minor jumping classes.

JAYPHOTOS OPEN UNAFFILIATED POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP. 
Fences 2’ 6” – 2’ 9“ (75cm – 85cm)
Points will be awarded to those placed (1st – 6th) in this class throughout the season. The competitor who wins the most points will receive a rug and sash at the last show of the season in August plus winning owners prize.

THE CHURCH FARM MINOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Fences 2” 9” approx. (85m).
Qualifying competitions will be held at all Dorset Showground Shows. The first eight horses will qualify in each competition disregarding those already qualified, for the final at Dorset Showground in August. Open to horses & ponies. Horses & ponies must jump clear in the first round to qualify. The winner of the final will receive a numnah, trophy and sash, plus owners prize. Special qualifying rosettes will be awarded. Class 15 THE DORSET SHOWGROUND GRAND PRIX
For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Associate members. Height of fences in first round 1.25m. Table A9. The best 5 scores, or, all clear rounds, will go forward to the second round, which will be against the clock. In the event of equality, faults and time with decide i.e the fastest four faulters will qualify. All scores in the first round will be carried forward to the second round. Competitors in the second round will start in the reverse order of merit or the slowest four faulters first, the faster clear last. If necessary, those who do not reach the second round, faults and time in the first round will determine their placings. If a competitor withdraws from the second round he/she will not be replaced and he/she will receive the placing from the first round. At least 5 prizes will be awarded. Winning owners prize. Prize for highest placed Dorset Area rider. 
Points will be awarded for the Dorset Showground Classic.
